We are seeking a Dispatcher/Lead Driver to join our team!
This role works with our drivers as a team with other dispatchers and supports the Transportation and Dispatch management teams in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This position will be best suited for a reliable, self-motivated, culture-driving individual with an affection for detail and problem solving on-the-fly.
Principal Roles and Responsibilities:
- Dispatching drivers on routes on-time
- Making deliveries as needed
- Ensuring that all drivers are using equipment properly and safely
- Supporting our drivers through any delivery and equipment issues
- Reporting and arranging maintenance and repair of trucks/trailers
- Checking in returning drivers and working with returned product
- Communicate with our team regarding deliveries, recovery options, scheduling of deliveries, etc.
- Utilizing our software to maintain correct inventory as related to deliveries/product returns
Relevant Experience:
- Work experience in Logistics, Dispatching, Driver Management (1+year preferred)
Knowledge / Job-Specific Competencies
- Excellent communication skills: verbal and written; professional and personal
- Excel at identifying and balancing competing priorities
- Ability to drive non-CDL delivery trucks
- Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Teams, inventory management system, ELDs, Microsoft Word
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
