Job Overview
Bright Innovators Academy is seeking an experienced, part-time English Language Arts Teacher for students in Grades 3–7. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging, small-group instruction aligned with Texas standards, helping students strengthen reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and critical-thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Teach English Language Arts to Grades 3–7 students in a small-group setting
- Plan engaging lessons aligned with Texas standards and student needs
- Teach reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, writing, editing, and literary analysis
- Differentiate instruction to support students at varying academic levels
- Prepare students for classroom assessments and STAAR-related skills
- Maintain a positive, structured learning environment
- Communicate student progress and needs with families and academy staff
Requirements
- Experience teaching or tutoring English Language Arts at the elementary and/or middle school level
- Strong knowledge of reading, writing, grammar, and literacy instruction
- Ability to make lessons engaging while strengthening foundational skills
- Experience working with diverse learners and adapting instruction as needed
- Strong classroom-management, communication, and organizational skills
- Reliable, patient, professional, and comfortable working with students and parents
- Bachelor’s degree in education, English, or a related field preferred
Compensation will be discussed with qualified candidates based on experience, qualifications, and role fit.
Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
