Job Overview
This position reports to the Director of Research and supports a variety of initiatives related to economic research, marketing, and business development. The role contributes to data-driven projects that help position Missouri as a top destination for business investment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research using both subscription-based and publicly available data sources
- Analyze and verify data to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Support due diligence research as part of internal project processes (training provided)
- Assist with lead generation efforts, including identifying and researching prospective company contacts
- Provide research and content support for marketing materials, including website updates
- Maintain and update website content as needed (training provided)
- Monitor and compile news and trends related to economic conditions, business development, and corporate relocations
Requirements
- High school diploma required; additional coursework or experience in business, communications, economics, geography, library science, statistics, urban planning, or a related field preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, collaborative, and approachable demeanor
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated research and internet proficiency
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills preferred
- Interest in economic development preferred.
