Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Shift Team Member and become a vital part of delivering exceptional Frozen Yogurt to our customers! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious yogurt (FroYo), managing customer orders with efficiency, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a positive environment where customers feel valued and welcomed. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, customer service, and retail operations while working in a fast-paced, friendly setting. Applicants must be able to work days, 12 - 5 pm EST.
Duties
- Prepare yogurt and toppings daily ensuring consistency and freshness for customers.
- Clean and sanitize all yogurt machines to ensure cleanliness and proper function.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Manage product fulfillment and product delivery to maintain on-hand inventory.
- Handle cash and card transactions, and give accurate change while maintaining proper procedures.
- Maintain a clean workspace at all times by adhering to sanitation standards, food safety regulations, and proper kitchen hygiene practices.
- Assist in showing customers self-service model works while providing excellent customer service.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, as per county regulations and requirements.
- Invite customers to join rewards program and explain program benefits accurately.
- Demonstrate ability to open store on time as per current schedule.
- Basic cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, table cleaning, and other cleaning as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is preferred; food industry or restaurant experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to operate POS (Point of Sale) system with accuracy and confidence.
- Excellent time management skills - able to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods without consistent management.
- Basic reading and math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing retail sales transactions.
- Customer service-oriented attitude with the ability to serve guests warmly and professionally.
- Experience with operating kitchen equipment safely and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Enthusiastic, polite and courteous at all times.
- Ability to work day shifts (including some weekends), from 12 - 5 p.m. EST.
