Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive, age-appropriate curriculum that integrates bilingual instruction, literacy education, math, and physical activities to support early childhood development.
- Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive social interactions among children.
- Manage daily classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and classroom organization to foster a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through regular updates and conferences.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress in literacy, math, and overall development.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of children's attendance, development notes, and incident reports.
- Promote health and safety by maintaining first aid and CPR certification and adhering to child welfare standards during all activities.
Experience
- Certification required (EC-6)
- Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Strong background in curriculum development tailored to preschool learners with an emphasis on literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and mandated reporting laws.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and community partners about children's progress and needs.
- Familiarity with preschool teaching standards, standardized testing procedures, and early childhood education best practices.

Pay: From $50,345.19 per year
