Samaha & Associates is seeking a results-driven Director of Business Development to drive strategic growth within the financial services industry. The Director of Business Development must be an experienced sales professional able to effectively generate qualified leads, build relationships with decision-makers, present solutions to prospects, and close deals with financial institutions nationwide.
This is an exciting opportunity for a B2B sales expert who can effectively sell technical solutions.
Must be able to travel throughout the US as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for performing duties listed below along with any additional duties as seen fit by management and per business needs:
· Manage the sales pipeline and proactively seek new business opportunities to meet monthly and quarterly lead generation and sales goals.
· Research and identify prospective credit unions and other financial institutions and qualify opportunities using established criteria.
· Generate qualified leads through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, networking, and referrals.
· Coordinate marketing campaigns with sales efforts.
· Provide consistent follow-up with prospects.
· Maintain strong, ongoing client and vendor relationships in the financial services industry by building relationships with CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, IT Directors, Operations Executives, and Executive Leadership.
· Maintain accurate CRM records and track KPIs and sales activity.
· Attend industry conferences and networking events.
· Conduct industry webinars educating the market on Samaha’s services.
· Assist in preparing proposals and presentations.
· Schedule and attend discovery meetings with Senior Consultants to assist with closing the deal.
· Present technology-based business solutions in accordance with prospective clients’ needs.
· Stay abreast of hardware and software technological developments and trends as they relate to existing systems and the financial services industry.
· Negotiate contracts for purchase, maintenance, and support of technology systems and external support systems for financial institutions.
· Guide and coach clients in an effective, encouraging manner.
· Comply with all Samaha & Associates policies and service standards.
· Operate in a highly disciplined, organized, and independent manner while maintaining a positive image.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· 4-year college degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree or certification preferred
· 5-10 years of senior technical experience, preferably in a financial institution
· 2-5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience
· Experience selling technology solutions, consulting services, SaaS, or managed services
· Experience with outbound prospecting
· Proven success exceeding sales goals and generating qualified meetings
· Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.)
SKILLS, ABILITIES, ATTRIBUTES
· Knowledge of core systems, credit/debit card processing, and/or digital banking is preferred
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Strong oral and written communication skills, with a professional and positive demeanor
· Excellent presentation skills
· Ability to persuade and negotiate effectively
· Ability to set and prioritize personal work schedules surrounding scheduled project meetings and other related client activities
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
· Ability to work evenings, weekends, and early mornings as needed
· Ability to operate in a highly disciplined and organized manner
· Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently
· Ability to maintain a quiet remote office setting and to work on-site at client locations

COMPENSATION: $120,000-$140,000 Salary plus Incentives
