Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry of journal entries, debits & credits, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting systems such as QuickBooks software and industry specific
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in bank statements and account balances.
- Process payroll and handle accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other relevant documentation aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Conduct monthly closing procedures, including ledger review, journal entry posting, and financial statement preparation.
- Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and assisting in financial planning efforts.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with familiarity in bookkeeping practices.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards such as GAAP and technical accounting concepts.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks (especially QuickBooks Online).
- Experience with payroll processing, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
- Excellent skills in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and 10 key typing for efficient data management.
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and produce accurate financial reports.
- Understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles, journal entries, debits & credits, and financial concepts.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

Pay: $25.53 - $30.75 per hour
