Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Manual (Stick Shift) Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manual transmission dump trucks and safely transporting materials such as dirt, gravel, asphalt, sand, and construction debris to and from job sites. Safety, punctuality, and professionalism are essential in this role.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate manual (stick shift) dump trucks on public roads, highways, and construction sites.
- Transport materials to designated locations while following assigned routes and delivery schedules.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is safe and roadworthy.
- Load, haul, and unload materials safely while preventing spills or damage.
- Operate the dump bed and related equipment safely and according to company procedures.
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Complete driver logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation accurately.
- Communicate with dispatchers, supervisors, and job site personnel regarding deliveries and any issues that arise.
- Keep the truck clean and report any maintenance or mechanical problems immediately.
- Work safely in various weather conditions and on active construction sites.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Class A or Class B, as required).
- Experience operating manual (stick shift) dump trucks is required.
- Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle inspection procedures.
- Ability to safely operate on construction sites and uneven terrain.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience hauling construction materials such as dirt, gravel, stone, sand, or asphalt.
- Experience working in construction or excavation environments.
- Familiarity with basic truck maintenance and inspections.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
