Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate and Tent Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and the safe operation of heavy equipment. Additionally, you will play a vital role in the installation of tents and related structures at various sites, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine warehouse expertise with hands-on installation work in a fast-paced environment that values safety, teamwork, and technical proficiency. You will need to be able to lift 40 pounds.
Duties
- Operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move inventory safely and efficiently
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software to track stock levels, perform stock counts, and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes by picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment according to specified requirements
- Conduct manual handling of materials, including heavy lifting and stacking, adhering strictly to safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock locations, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Install tents and related structures at designated sites by following technical instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently during all operations to ensure safety for yourself and team members
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers with familiarity in warehouse management systems (AS400 or similar)
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts (including forklift certification), cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers
- Strong understanding of inventory control practices, materials handling techniques, and safety regulations including OSHA standards
- Experience in logistics functions like shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, picking & packing, load & unload procedures
- Technical proficiency with inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments or inventory levels
- Prior experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus but not required
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a high level of safety awareness
