Setting: In-person Clinic (El Paso, TX 79907) Primary Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Manage a primarily Medicare-aged patient population, providing care consistent with your licensure and certification.
- Chronic & Acute Management: Diagnose and treat chronic conditions (diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease) and acute issues (minor injuries, infections, or disease exacerbations).
- Diagnostics: Order and interpret diagnostic procedures including lab work, X-rays, and EKGs.
- Treatment Planning: Prescribe medications and other treatment modalities as needed.
- Patient Education: Discuss disease conditions, treatments, and expected outcomes with patients to ensure they are fully educated on their health journey.
- Collaboration: Work as an integral part of a collaborative team to provide quality, evidence-based care.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Texas.
- Certification: Board Certification (AANP/ANCC for NPs or NCCPA for PAs).
- Prescriptive Authority: Valid DEA license.
- Experience: Not needed, but desirable
- Patient Focus: Comfort and experience managing a geriatric/Medicare-aged population.
- Location: Ability to reliably commute to El Paso, TX 79907 or plan to relocate before starting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual: Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
