OVERVIEW:
The part time work schedule is flexible but will generally consist of one service visit per week, typically completed in a single block of approximately four hours. The specific day and time can be coordinated to meet both customer and technician availability, although consistency from week to week is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A formal chemistry degree/background is not required; however, candidates should be comfortable performing basic chemical testing and working with technical procedures. Experience in any of the following areas would be beneficial:
- Performing water chemistry testing using titration kits, handheld analytical instruments, and electronic meters.
- Recording and interpreting test results and completing service reports.
- Making chemical feed adjustments based on established operating parameters.
- Monitoring and maintaining chemical inventory.
Industrial maintenance, boiler, cooling tower, water treatment, wastewater treatment, or manufacturing experience would be preferred but not required.
The technician will also be expected to learn the operation of automated chemical control systems, including Walchem controllers. Responsibilities may include verifying controller operation, adjusting programmed setpoints or dosing parameters under established guidelines, responding to controller alarms, and communicating operational issues to the Area Manager or technical support team.
Training will be provided on our water treatment programs, testing procedures, and control equipment.
Pay: $32.00 per hour
