Majors Law Group is an established, growing bankruptcy firm with offices in Arizona and Washington. We're building technology that lets us serve clients more consistently as we expand into new markets. Our platform, Bankruptcy.ai, is being built around the actual practice of consumer bankruptcy — not around what someone in a conference room thinks lawyers need. We are making the process easier than ever for our clients and have built a streamlined system that automates repetitive work, organizes information, educates clients, and removes friction out of the filing from start to finish.
Here's the important part: the technology exists to make attorneys better at their jobs — not to replace them.
Most legal tech is built by technologists trying to understand lawyers. We're building ours from inside a working bankruptcy practice, which means the people using the system are the people shaping it. Our long-term goal is a platform and practice model that can serve bankruptcy clients across the country.
The Details
Compensation — $100,000+ including bonuses, determined by experience, plus bonus.
Support — Every attorney works closely with a dedicated senior paralegal. Behind that senior paralegal sits a full team — intake, administrators, and junior paralegals — structured to move each case forward through the filing stages before it reaches your desk. By the time a file gets to you, the groundwork has been done.
Work Arrangement — Full-time, in office.
Growth — Annual performance-based reviews. Beyond that, the real opportunity is this: be an attorney who helps build the future of the consumer bankruptcy filing process. As the firm expands into new markets, the attorneys who shape how we practice will shape where we go.
What You'll Do
You'll be responsible for the work that actually requires a lawyer:
- Handle Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 consumer cases from intake through discharge
- Counsel clients about their financial and legal options
- Explain complicated bankruptcy concepts in clear, understandable language
- Develop case strategy based on each client's individual circumstances
- Review petitions, schedules, statements, and plans for accuracy and strategy
- Represent clients at 341 meetings, hearings, and other proceedings
- Communicate and negotiate with trustees, creditors, and opposing counsel
- Identify issues before they become problems
- Take ownership of your cases and your clients' outcomes
The goal isn't for attorneys to do every task themselves. It's for attorneys to spend more of their time doing attorney work.
Help Build a Better Way to Practice
This is where the position differs from a traditional bankruptcy associate role. Because you're actually practicing the law, you'll see things a developer, consultant, or executive simply won't.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Identify the repetitive or inefficient parts of the bankruptcy process
- Help us decide what should — and shouldn't — be automated
- Test new features and give direct feedback before they're released
- Improve how clients provide information and understand their options
- Help develop educational resources that prepare clients before they meet an attorney
You don't need to be a programmer. You don't need to know how to build software. You do need to be curious, observant, and interested in making the practice better.

Our clients aren't numbers on a case list. They're people going through one of the most stressful financial periods of their lives, worried about their house, their car, their paycheck, their family, and their future. Sometimes they're embarrassed. Sometimes they're angry. Sometimes they don't know what questions to ask.
A great bankruptcy attorney doesn't make those people feel judged. They make them feel like there's a path forward. Technology should absorb more of the administrative burden precisely so our attorneys have time to do that.
If you can sit down with someone who is terrified, understand their situation, explain their options honestly, and leave them with a plan — you'll probably love this job.
Who We're Looking For
Required
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Arizona Bar in good standing, or eligibility for admission
- Ability to manage a caseload with organization, judgment, and accountability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Genuine commitment to client service and ethical representation
Strongly Preferred
- Consumer bankruptcy experience, Chapter 7 and/or Chapter 13
- Familiarity with local bankruptcy court procedures and trustees
- Experience managing cases from intake through discharge
