We offer full or part-time positions for qualified applicants to primarily provide individual therapy sessions. For a part-time positions we ask that a clinician can do a minimum of 24 sessions per week. The position comes with a robust benefits package, which adds over 30% to total compensation package.
About Us
Forward Wellness is a dynamic behavioral health and telehealth practice dedicated to supporting individuals and families through compassionate and evidence-based care. We are expanding our administrative and clinical support team and seeking a motivated Patient Coordinator / EHR Trainer to help streamline patient experience and enhance system efficiency.
Remote Work & Residency Requirements:
Forward Wellness Family Therapy is a California-based practice. While this is a 100% remote position, clinical practice is subject to strict state-by-state jurisdictional regulations.
- Licensure: Applicants must hold a current, active, and unrestricted license from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.
- Eligible States: We currently accept applications from clinicians residing in California and most other U.S. states.
- Prohibited States: Due to restrictive local practice acts and insurance limitations, we cannot employ clinicians who physically reside in Washington, Wyoming, North Dakota, or Ohio.
- Mandatory Registration: Clinicians residing in Florida, Arizona, or Vermont must be registered as an "Out-of-State Telehealth Provider" with their respective state board prior to their start date. Any associated registration or "Registered Agent" fees are the responsibility of the clinician.
- Compliance: Out-of-state hires will be required to sign a Jurisdictional Compliance Attestation confirming that their state of residence permits them to provide telehealth services to California-based clients under their California license.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking passionate, licensed mental health professionals to join our growing behavioral health team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative and innovative environment that values clinical excellence, flexibility, and professional growth.
We are currently hiring Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCCs), and Licensed Psychologists (PsyDs) to provide individual (and optional couples or family) therapy sessions through telehealth.
Part-time clinicians must be available to provide a minimum of 24 sessions per week. Full-time roles offer a robust benefits package that adds over 30% to total compensation. You’ll have the flexibility to create your own schedule while receiving strong administrative and clinical support—including credentialing assistance, referrals, billing services, and optional local office space.

Our team will help new hires become credentialed with insurance companies, and will provide referrals, billing service, office space (as an option, if you live locally) and other amenities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial (BPS) assessments and formulate accurate clinical impressions.
- Develop, review, and update individualized treatment plans aligned with client goals.
- Maintain timely and compliant documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Participate in weekly consultation and supervision meetings.
- Provide individual psychotherapy via telehealth; couples and family therapy is optional.
- Offer appropriate referrals and community resources to clients as needed.
- Collaborate with providers and treatment team as needed.

- Adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards under the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and applicable laws.
- Maintain professional boundaries and demonstrate cultural humility when serving diverse populations.

Minimum Requirements:
- Active California licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or PsyD (required).
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with team members.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in computers, teleconferencing platforms (Zoom, Google Meet), and EHR documentation.
- Commitment to ethical, evidence-based, and person-centered practice.
Qualifications:
- Degrees/certifications: Masters level training in social work, psychology, family therapy.
- LMFT/LCSW/LPCC/Psychologist
- Some experience working with diverse populations.
- Knowledgeable with interventions and treatment planning.
- Experience in evidence based practices preferred (CBT, EMDR).
- Fluent in more than one language a plus.
- EMDR is a plus.
- Credentialing with various insurance companies is a plus.
