Duties
- Prepare and assemble deli food items according to company standards, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail sales transactions, cash handling, and processing customer orders efficiently.
- Assist customers with their food service needs, upselling products to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace by following sanitation protocols and food safety guidelines.
- Manage food handling procedures responsibly, adhering to all health regulations to ensure safety.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including slicers, ovens, and other deli tools.
- Support inventory management by restocking deli items and monitoring product freshness.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments preferred; quick service or fast food restaurant experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash register operations experience is ideal.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask in a busy setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and effective communication abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations and cash handling accuracy.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently; prior culinary or restaurant experience is advantageous.
