Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Pre-K Assistant Teacher to join our team in Fleetwood, PA. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom where children can explore, learn, and thrive.
Responsibilities
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and a love of learning.
- Plan and implement daily activities that support literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
- Monitor and assess children’s progress using standardized tools and informal assessments.
- Provide individualized support tailored to each child’s learning style and needs.
- Maintain ongoing communication with parents about classroom activities, milestones, and development.
- Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all students at all times.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to create a cohesive, team-oriented learning environment across age groups.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, promoting respect, cooperation, and teamwork among children.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with young children.
- CDA credential or Associate’s degree (AA) in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Required
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patient, creative, and energetic, with a genuine passion for early childhood education.
Compensation & Benefits
