Summary:
Independently performs advanced troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, assembles and overhauls agricultural equipment and company vehicles. Completes tasks in a safe and timely manner. Assists with other operations as needed.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles.

Examine machines and perform troubleshooting tests to determine functionality problems.

Monitor inventory and request new parts when necessary.

Perform diagnostic procedures and repair vehicles or equipment in the field.

Weld and fabricate, as needed.

Use computer diagnostic tooling for repairs.

Knowledge of or able to learn mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of equipment, machinery, and vehicles.

Assemble mechanical components according to manufacturer specifications.

Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.

Operate a forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, tractor, and other warehouse, shop, or yard equipment. (Training and certification can be obtained through MVAS)

Maintain records on all required vehicles and equipment.

Maintain condition of vehicles, equipment, inventory and tools.

Prioritize and schedule routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment to facilitate a smooth and efficient workflow.

Perform scheduled maintenance in compliance with DOT guidelines.

Maintain current and accurate labeling on all equipment and tanks.

Keep a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly manner.

Keep accurate clerical records for all time worked, materials used, and inventory.

Maintain work logs, repairs, and consistent maintenance records.

Remain knowledgeable of chemicals/material at facility and specific PPE requirements.

Knowledge:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Certification from a vocational school or trade school is preferred.

Experience and Certifications

Valid Class C Driver License required.

Valid Class A Commercial Driver License with tanker, doubles and triples, air brakes, and Haz-Mat endorsements preferred.

Experience working with the following: Pumps, Vehicles, Loaders and Agriculture (or similar) equipment.

Knowledge of hydraulics, electricity, and general mechanics.
