POSITION SUMMARY
Audi Gilbert is seeking a skilled, dependable, and customer-focused Automotive Service Technician to join our
Service Department.
The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer and
dealership vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and dealership standards. This position requires
strong technical skills, attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to provide high-quality workmanship
in a fast-paced dealership environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and repair vehicle mechanical and electrical concerns.
- Perform routine maintenance and scheduled services.
- Complete inspections and identify needed repairs or maintenance.
- Perform repairs accurately and efficiently according to manufacturer specifications.
- Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify vehicle concerns.
- Document completed repairs and recommendations accurately on repair orders.
- Communicate repair needs and findings with Service Advisors and management.
- Test-drive vehicles as needed to verify concerns and completed repairs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Properly handle dealership tools, equipment, and customer vehicles.
- Follow all dealership, manufacturer, and safety procedures.
- Complete required manufacturer training and maintain applicable certifications.
May work indoors or outdoors and be exposed to vehicle traffic, varying temperatures, noise, and typical
automotive workplace conditions.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Previous automotive technician experience preferred.
- Automotive dealership experience is a plus.
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- ASE and/or manufacturer certifications preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
- Ability to use automotive diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs.
