Job Description:
- Assist in the delivery of client care on the detoxification and/or residential units by performing nurse assistant procedures under direction of supervision of medical personnel.
- Properly document client care following policy and procedures.
- Communicate with nursing all pertinent information concerning assessment of clients.
- Assist in the admission of clients.
- Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to calls.
- Escort clients to different areas, interview clients, measure vital signs and document all information.
- Attend and participate in mandatory meeting such as Team Meetings and All-Staff meetings.
- Complete all mandatory training at hire and annually when due. Follow all Sacred Heart Policies and Procedures, Corporate Compliance and Code of Conduct
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate and Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant or Registered Nurse Aide required.
- CPR and AED Certification.
- Knowledge and understanding of people with substance abuse and mental health problems desirable.
- Ability to develop a therapeutic relationship and to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to act in an ethical and professional manner.
- Must have ability to communicate clearly and concisely in oral and written formats; the ability to solve problems; the commitment to provide excellent customer service.
- Good computer skills required.
- Must have the ability to work different shifts, including holidays and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift more than 25 pounds at times.
- Pushing carts and wheelchairs.
- Ability to quickly respond to emergencies.
- Possess visual and auditory acuity
