Job Summary:
This position involves installing, commissioning, maintaining, troubleshooting, & repairing heat pumps plus some conventional HVAC systems, in both residential and small commercial environments. Much of our work consists of residential geothermal heat pump installations which are divided into two approximately equal categories; existing homes and new construction. You may also be involved in service and maintenance work on our customer’s systems. Geothermal heat pump experience a plus, but not required; we are willing to train the right individual. Our company is based in Saratoga County and principally serves the Capital District, Hudson Valley and Western Massachusetts.
Qualifications:
· A High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of field experience in HVAC; or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience is required.
· General knowledge and experience with range of residential HVAC systems
· Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing
· Basic PC skills and computer experience
· Applicants should be in good physical condition due to the physical nature of installing loop piping and the installation and removal of heating and AC units.
Preferred Experience:
While not required, stronger candidates will possess some of these skills/experience.
· Electrical and/or control wiring experience
· HVAC plumbing and/or sanitary water plumbing experience
· Ability to follow wiring diagrams and piping diagrams
· Service & repair of HVAC refrigerant systems
· EPA 608 Refrigeration Certification: Type I and Type II or Universal
· Knowledge of ductwork sizing with the ability to do sheet metal work
· Installation of radiant floor systems, including circulators and zone valves
Responsibilities:
· Represents the company by serving as the direct customer contact and is responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer’s location.

Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour
