Data Entry Specialist – Customs Brokerage

We are a fast-growing international logistics and customs brokerage firm. We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Specialist to support our customs clearance operations. This role is essential in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant data processing for international shipments. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter and maintain shipment data into customs brokerage systems (e.g., ABI, AMS, and internal platforms)
- Process import documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and ISF filings
- Verify data accuracy and ensure compliance with U.S. Customs (CBP) and other regulatory requirements
- Support Licensed Customs Brokers by preparing and organizing clearance files
- Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve data discrepancies
- Update shipment status and maintain records in the company database
- Assist with daily data entry tasks, scanning, filing, and reporting
- Identify and correct errors to prevent clearance delays or compliance issues
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1+ years of data entry or administrative experience (experience in logistics, customs brokerage, or freight forwarding is a strong plus)
- High accuracy and speed in data entry with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with data management systems
- Bilingual fluency in Mandarin and English** (both spoken and written) — Highly preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of customs terminology, HTS codes, or import documentation is a big advantage
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
