American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a full-time night shift position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

Work on a 4th floor Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
-
Care for adult medical-surgical patient population
-
Full-time night shift schedule from 7 PM to 7:30 AM
-
13-week contract assignment
-
36 guaranteed hours per week
-
Active OH or compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required

Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)

Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills required
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and make independent clinical decisions
-
Able to perform heavy work including exerting 50-100 lbs of force occasionally and frequent patient handling

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using the nursing process

Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
-
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately

Notify physicians of pertinent changes in patient status and implement orders as written

Supervise and delegate role-appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and co-workers

Ensure equipment and supplies are available and report malfunctions promptly

Maintain thorough, accurate, and legible documentation of care provided

Work collaboratively within a team-oriented care environment
