Position Summary
The Internal Sales & Project Manager is responsible for managing customer accounts, coordinating project execution, and ensuring successful delivery of customer requirements from RFQ through shipment. This role serves as the central communication point between customers, engineering, production, quality, purchasing, and leadership.
The ideal candidate combines strong customer service and sales skills with project management expertise to drive revenue growth, improve customer satisfaction, and ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Management
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts.
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
- Prepare and manage RFQs.
- Follow up on outstanding quotes and identify opportunities to increase sales.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and conduct regular account reviews.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts.
- Assist with customer onboarding.
Project Management
- Manage projects from order receipt through final delivery.
- Develop and maintain project timelines and milestones.
- Coordinate activities between engineering, production, quality, and purchasing.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address risks or delays.
- Provide customers with regular project updates and status reports.
- Ensure customer requirements are communicated accurately throughout the organization.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure customer specifications and quality requirements are understood.
- Assist with customer issue resolution.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Help identify process improvements that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Reporting & Metrics
- Maintain CRM and project tracking systems.
- Generate sales forecasts and project status reports.
- Track KPIs including:
- Quote conversion rate
- Revenue growth
- On-time delivery
- Customer satisfaction
- Project profitability
- Customer retention
Qualifications
Required
- 3–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial sales, project management, or account management.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing
- ERP/MRP software experience.
- CRM experience.

Compensation Structure (Example)
- Base Salary: $65,000–$85,000+ (depending on experience)
- Benefits package per company policy
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
