Class B Diesel Mechanic
Responsibilities:
-
Run diagnostic tests on heavy-duty diesel-powered vehicles
-
Repairs, maintenance and servicing large straight trucks, and busses,
- Analyze diagnostic test results
-
Test drive vehicles to gauge performance
-
Perform preventative maintenance
- Maintain detailed records of service vehicles
Qualifications:
-
One year experience in diesel engine repair
-
Advanced knowledge of diesel engine technology and components
-
Mechanical aptitude and problem solving
-
Proficiency in operating all types of vehicles, equipment and tools

Able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment

Good interpersonal skills with Supervisors and Co-workers

Willing to obtain factory certifications
- Ability to lift heavy equipment

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Class B CDL -preferred, not required
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, lifting (often over 50lbs), and working in various positions like stooping, kneeling, and bending.
- Dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to use tools are also essential.
