USAM DC is seeking a Commercial Driver to support the safe and timely transportation of custom commercial millwork to job sites.
This is a hands-on, field-focused role responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading high-end millwork and casework, ensuring all deliveries are accurate, secure, and completed on schedule.
This position is ideal for someone with delivery or logistics experience who is comfortable with physical work, takes pride in maintaining equipment and organization, and can represent the company professionally on job sites.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure all materials loaded onto the truck match delivery requirements and documentation
- Safely transport and deliver millwork and casework to designated job sites
- Assist with packaging, wrapping, and preparing finished products for delivery
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage
- Follow all company and state safety regulations related to transportation and material handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle at all times
- Perform routine vehicle checks (fuel, tire pressure, basic condition) and report any issues to Supervisor
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers during deliveries
- Support shop or warehouse operations as needed
- Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- DOT card (or ability to obtain one)
- Previous experience in delivery driving, logistics, or similar role preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Strong reliability, work ethic, and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers and clients
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly
- Capable of frequent standing, walking, bending, and handling materials
- Ability to push, pull, and lift materials from various positions, including overhead
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments under varying conditions
Work Environment:
This role operates between shop, warehouse, and job site environments. The position may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, and moderate to high noise levels. Safety protocols must be followed at all times.
