Summary of Overnight Staff Major Responsibilities: The Crossroads Overnight Staff assist the Resident Manager in overseeing the nightly duties, safety, and residents' compliance with Crossroads rules and requirements for residency. Overnight Staff manage, report, and assist in any crisis intervention, medical emergencies, or other tasks associated with the overnight boarding of clients. Monitors and completes the medication process in compliance with the facility's Self Administration Policies and Procedures. Oversees household duties by the residents in the morning, maintaining program structure and supporting the staff in their daily program operations. The Overnight Staff provide a document and communicate through a pass-down log the events of the night to oncoming staff and enter data into various digital systems throughout the night.
Responsibilities:
Support the Crossroads Foundation's purpose, philosophy, values, and code of ethics.
Manages all crises according to the policy and procedures. Contact Staff for assistance in decision-making and inform staff of the status of all ongoing emergencies.
- Documents all situations in clients' files according to standards.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the house by attending meetings and working with the Resident Council to plan meals and provide for the daily completion of chores and evening activities. Serve as Liaison between Staff and Resident Council, assuring continuity and complete delegation.
- Inform Resident Manager of the need for household supplies, and bedding, and be capable of purchasing assignments; assist in a working of inventory of supplies.
- Ensure residents comply with policies when on duty. Solve problems at night and provide crisis intervention.
- Make and document regular hourly walk-throughs of client areas to ensure safety.
- Provide data entry for screenings and other client information into various systems such as SanWITS, EHRs, and Client Records.
- Provide transportation on duty nights for residents in emergencies.
- Maintains the daily activities of clients' forms to provide to the billing specialist daily.
- Share experience, strength, and hope through attitude and personal example.
- Helps archive old files via the direction of QA Specialist, Program Analyst, and Associate Director.
- Maintains copies to help support the counseling staff. File paperwork in client files.
- And other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Temperamental disposition and willingness to be flexible.
- Must be registered with verified agency such as CCAPP.
- To treat others with respect and compassion.
- Knowledge of ODS-DMC Standards and documentation.
- CPR/First Aid certified.
- Valid CA. Driver’s License and the ability to be insured.
