Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a physical therapist during the 2026-2027 school year. This role primarily serves the Newtown region, with one day per week in the Morrisville/Pennsbury area. Candidates should also be open to working within Carbon and/or Lehigh County as needed. The schedule spans approximately 21 to 28 hours across 3-4 days each week, offering meaningful part-time engagement with a dynamic student caseload.
What We're Looking For:
- Active state licensure to practice physical therapy in a school setting
- Minimum of one year of pediatric, preschool-aged experience
- Availability for in-person services only (remote/virtual work is not offered)
- Willingness to travel within the designated service area
- Dedication to fostering student growth, participation, and independence
- Collaborative mindset to work with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality physical therapy services to students in preschool and school-age programs
- Assess, plan, and implement effective evidence-based treatments
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers to coordinate care
- Maintain thorough documentation and reporting in compliance with state and district protocols
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student plan development
- Adapt interventions to meet the unique needs of diverse learners
