As a Channel Letter Technician with our growing Manufacturing Team, some of the job duties performed will include:
- Fabricating and assembling channel letters by using an accu-bend or channel letter making machine
- Installing and testing lighting in channel letters
- Riveting, caulking and punching in weep holes
- Will read blueprints, drawings and schematics
- Reviewing the job orders and artwork with the Floor Supervisor
- Additional duties to assist in other manufacturing areas as needed
Qualifications, requirements and education required for the Channel Letter Technician position include:
- Channel Letter fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read blue prints and interpret sign/shop drawings and specifications
- Previous experience working with various materials such as aluminum, sheet metal and various plastic materials
- Works well in team environment
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Some trade school coursework preferred
Physical requirements for the Channel Letter Technician position include:
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to up to 20 to 50 pounds. The work is performed primarily indoors. There are extreme changes to temperature and humidity within the plant and office area.
