Teamworks Adventure Camp is hiring energetic and dependable Camp Counselors to join our summer team in Westford, Massachusetts. This is a great opportunity for college students who enjoy working with kids, spending time outdoors, building leadership skills, and being part of a close-knit staff team.
Our camp is located on conservation land and offers a mix of traditional camp activities, including swimming, hiking, archery, arts and crafts, team games, outdoor adventures, and specialty programs.
No two days are exactly the same, and you definitely will not be sitting behind a desk.
What You’ll Do
As a Camp Counselor, you will help create a safe, positive, and memorable summer for campers. Responsibilities include:
- Leading and participating in games, sports, crafts, hikes, and team-building activities
- Supervising campers and helping them move safely between activities
- Encouraging campers to participate, make friends, and try new things
- Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Supporting campers who may be nervous, frustrated, or having a difficult day
- Using positive behavior-management and redirection strategies
- Helping with setup, cleanup, and organization of camp equipment
- Communicating camper concerns, injuries, or safety issues to camp leadership
- Working closely with other counselors, activity leaders, and camp staff
- Following all camp safety procedures and policies

Previous experience working with children is helpful, but it is not required. Experience may include babysitting, coaching, tutoring, volunteering, teaching, or working at another camp.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Training may be provided or required before camp begins.
Schedule
This is a seasonal summer position, generally scheduled Monday through Friday during camp hours. Staff must also attend required training and meetings before and during the summer.
Work Environment
Camp Counselors spend most of the day active and outdoors. Staff should be comfortable walking on hills, trails, fields, and uneven surfaces, as well as standing, bending, lifting supplies, and participating in physical activities.
