Insurance Underwriter - Commercial Lines Middle-Market – Newington, CT
Seeking individual with ability to support the development of middle market commercial lines product features, pricing, compliance and marketing plan while functionally underwriting multiple lines including General Liability, Property, Commercial Auto, Workers Compensation, Umbrella, and Inland Marine.
- Develop and manage marketing strategies and plans.
- Facilitate agency development and retention of agency relationships through marketing, travel, and presentations.
- Determine acceptability, conditions, and pricing of risks for middle market companies including manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, etc.
- Underwrite and price accounts to promote account retention and profitability.
- Serve as a resource to subordinate underwriting levels, other underwriting departments, and agents.
