Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and energetic cook to join our team at our pizza and sandwich shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas, sandwiches, and other menu items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring consistency, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. Guaranteed Sunday and Monday off and you will make tips.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook pizzas, hot and cold sandwiches, and other menu items according to recipes and customer specifications.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers safely and efficiently.
- Monitor food quality and freshness; maintain consistent portion sizes and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and prep areas in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation; report shortages or equipment issues.
- Work as part of a team to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations.
- Follow all food safety procedures and kitchen protocols.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including prep work and cleaning.
Qualifications:
- Prior cooking or food prep experience preferred, especially in a pizzeria, deli, or fast-casual restaurant.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
Work Schedule:
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
