Your Role at KIK
The Packer is responsible for safely packaging, labeling, inspecting, and preparing pool chemical products for shipment while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. This position operates in a chemical manufacturing environment and requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hazardous material handling procedures, and company safety policies.
What You’ll Do

Execute the packaging of pool chemical products into approved containers, including pails, buckets, bags, cartons, and other designated materials, ensuring compliance with established standards

Perform thorough inspections of products and packaging components to verify quality, accuracy, and the absence of defects throughout all phases of the packaging process

Apply labels, lot codes, date codes, and all required regulatory markings in strict accordance with product specifications and compliance requirements

Confirm the correct product, packaging materials, and quantities are utilized for each production run to maintain accuracy and operational integrity

Safely operate and monitor packaging equipment, including conveyors, palletizers, shrink-wrap machines, and labeling systems, in accordance with training and operational procedures

Fully perform all job duties across the entire production line from beginning to end with minimal supervision

Monitor packaging lines for proper operation and report equipment malfunctions to supervisors or maintenance personnel

Stack, wrap, and prepare finished goods for warehouse storage or shipment

Complete production, quality, and inventory documentation accurately and in a timely manner

Perform line clearances and housekeeping activities to maintain a clean and organized work area

Follow all safety procedures regarding hazardous chemicals, personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout, and emergency response

Participate in inventory counts and material reconciliation activities as assigned.

Assist with changeovers, setup, and cleaning of packaging equipment

Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency

Performs other duties and assignments as directed by supervisor

Assist other Dry B Operators as needed
What You’ll Bring

High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent required
-
Previous experience in manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or production environments preferred
-
Experience within a chemical manufacturing setting considered an asset
-
Ability to wear respiratory protective equipment for extended periods of time, while operating a forklift.

Ability to speak and comprehend verbal instruction with a respirator in order to effectively communicate with coworkers as well as monitoring equipment.

Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and respond to call-outs as required to support continuous manufacturing operations.

Must be able to wear SCBA gear during emergency situations.

Requires good communications skills and the ability to function in a team environment.

The ability to follow oral or written instructions, set procedures, work rules and standards.

Must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a physical examination, functional capacity assessment, and drug screening
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds frequently

Ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs, and perform repetitive motions

Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity levels, and manufacturing environments

Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. This position has a base starting hourly rate of $23.00 per hour. The actual rate may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
