Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and animal-loving Daycare Kennel Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for providing daily care, supervision, and enrichment for dogs in our daycare and boarding facility while maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and interact with dogs in daycare playgroups.
- Monitor dog behavior and ensure safe, positive social interactions.
- Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, food bowls, and facility surfaces.
- Walk dogs and provide exercise and enrichment activities.
- Monitor dogs for signs of illness, injury, stress, or behavioral concerns and report findings to management.
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures when needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners.
- Follow all facility safety, cleaning, and animal handling protocols.
- Answering calls, scheduling, etc.
Qualifications
- Must be comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous animal care, kennel, veterinary, grooming, or daycare experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely handle active and energetic dogs.
