At Smith Beer Law Firm we focus our practice on negligent security, premises liability, commercial trucking, wrongful death, and personal injury cases. We are going into our 3rd year since the firm was founded and have 5 highly experienced attorneys on our team. In the past year we had a verdict of $29.5 million and two settlements of over $10 million. In total we have already recovered over $100 million for our clients.
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Injury Attorney to join our legal team. This candidate must have experience in personal injury on either the plaintiff or the defense side. Catastrophic injury experience is highly preferred. The commission for this role would be expected at around $200K and a salary starting at $125K for your first year.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to advocate for clients who have experienced personal injuries, guiding them through the legal process with expertise and compassion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in personal injury law, excellent research and writing skills, and a proactive approach to litigation. Trial experience is highly preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury claims, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and workplace injuries.
- Assist the partners on high level catastrophic injury cases.
- Draft comprehensive legal documents, including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and client correspondence with clarity and precision.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to maximize client benefits.
- Prepare for and participate in litigation proceedings, including depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
- Maintain detailed case files and ensure all deadlines are met in accordance with court procedures.
- Collaborate with clients, experts, and support staff to develop effective case strategies that align with client goals.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the GA state bar is required.
- Must have 3 years of experience in personal injury law or related litigation fields such as catastrophic injury
- Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear, persuasive legal documents.
- Familiarity with legal administrative processes and case management software.
- Litigation experience is required for this role.
Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
