Join our dynamic property management team as an Assistant Property Manager and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and exceptional service delivery across our residential communities. You will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with Fair Housing regulations, managing lease agreements, and fostering positive relationships with residents and vendors alike. Responsibilities
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):* Move-in/move-out inspections
* Periodic property inspections
* Lease violation inspections
* Owner onboarding inspections
* Mounting and managing lockboxes
* Key handling and coordination
* Posting legal notices
* Meeting with inspectors, appraisers, law enforcement, contractors, etc
.* Assisting with evictions
* Section 8 inspections
* Obtaining physical signatures
* Other field-related tasks as needed Requirements:
* Detail-oriented and organized* Self-starter who works independently
* Comfortable using smartphone apps and technology
* Valid driver’s license* Reliable vehicle with current auto insurance
* Must pass a background check Position Details
:* 1099 Independent Contractor
* 25–40 hours per week
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles, including familiarity with landlord-tenant law and lease contracts
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, and LIHTC compliance standards
- Proficiency with property management software such as AppFolio, or similar platforms; experience with data entry and office administrative tasks is essential
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and relationship management abilities
- Ability to negotiate effectively, handle contracts confidently, and manage conflict situations tactfully
- Prior experience in facilities management or property maintenance coordination is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced office environment while maintaining attention to detail
