American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and prior Neuro ICU background.

Large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center with 1,500+ beds
-
Neuro ICU unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio on both day and night shifts
-
Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

Every other weekend required
-
Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
-
No on-call requirements

Charting performed in Epic
-
Parking is available at a cost of $125/month

Active CT or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
-
Prior Neuro ICU experience required
-
Trauma center experience at a large facility required
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Active RN license must be free of prior disciplinary actions

1 professional reference required for consideration

Provide critical care nursing to neurological ICU patients in a high-acuity academic medical center environment

Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted

COVID vaccine required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler

RTO of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
