Day in the life of a Plumbing Technician
- Diagnose and repair plumbing systems
- Compute service charges and log service call invoice
- Communicate with customers, vendors, dispatch, your manager, parts, installation teams, and fellow team members
- Participate in company meetings and provide feedback on jobs and customers
- Other duties as needed to help fulfill the needs of the company and our customers expectation
Duties and skills we need
- Perform repair and installation of plumbing systems
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in service, including installing gas lines and using various drain cleaning machines, cameras, and jetter
- Ability to read blueprints and knowledge of plumbing codes
- Inspect previously installed plumbing systems at commercial & residential sites
- Diagnose and perform any necessary repairs to previously installed systems
- Work carefully to complete tasks efficiently and safely and follow all current regulations for plumbing work to ensure that all installed systems pass inspections
- Communicate well with clients to ensure client satisfaction
- Provide information regarding repair and maintenance to clients
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Good math skills to apply service charges to invoice
- Communicate well with team members and fellow employees
- Manage a detailed work log
- Keep detailed reports of work done at various job sites
- Work independently and collaboratively with team members, suppliers, vendors, and customers
- Push, lift, and pull up to 175 pounds, climb stairs, bend, squat, stand for extended periods of time
- Have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record
