Lost Roads Baking Co. is looking for a dependable, hardworking baker to join our team. This is a full-time position with a mandatory start time of 4:00 AM. We're seeking someone who enjoys working with their hands, is a team-player, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and thrives in a fast-paced bakery environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cookies, pies, and other baked goods
- Follow recipes and production schedules accurately
- Scale, mix, shape, proof, bake, and finish products to company standards
- Monitor product quality and consistency throughout production
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment
- Assist with daily prep work and ingredient management
- Work efficiently to ensure products are ready for retail opening
Requirements
- Ability to consistently arrive and begin work at 4:00 AM
- Applicants must understand that 4:00 AM is a firm start time, not an arrival window. Consistent punctuality is an essential function of this position.
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Previous baking or food service experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
