We seek an enthusiastic, encouraging, and inspiring part-time Music Director. In
this position, you'll guide our congregation’s musical worship experience on Sunday mornings. The ideal candidate will have a heart for Christ, enjoy being part of a team, bring ideas for vitality and engagement, be knowledgeable about diverse musical styles, be flexible, and have the ability to create an inviting and encouraging atmosphere.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Demonstrated choral ability. Ability to play piano, organ, and/or other instruments for rehearsals and worship. Direct choir during weekly rehearsals and on Sunday morning. Recruit and empower volunteers to share their gifts with confidence and joy.
Qualifications: Proven experience in teaching or mentoring singers of various skill levels within a church or community setting. Demonstrated talent in singing and playing organ and piano. Knowledge of diverse musical styles suitable for worship services.
A degree in music (or working toward a degree in music) is helpful. We are an Open and Affirming Church. Applicants who share UCC values are highly encouraged to apply.
