Assist the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation and other activities -
Work a station in high volume kitchen-
Experience in Grill, Sautée, Fry, Oyster Shucking, Fresh dough pizza making-
Oversee and coordinate the work of kitchen staff-
Ensure that food is prepared and presented in accordance with quality standards-
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed-
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment-
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and recipes-
Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques & food safety procedures-
Assist in the creation of schedules, for adequate staffing levels-
Assist in monthly inventory.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the food service industry-
Strong knowledge of food service management principles and practices-
Proficient in inventory control, forecasting and cost management- Excellent leadership and team management skills-
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced restaurant -
Understanding & Knowledge of food production techniques and current industry trends-
Familiar with banquet operations and large-scale food preparation
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of food service management principles and practices.
- Excellent cooking skills with a passion for creating delicious dishes.
- Proficient in inventory control and ordering supplies.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
