Join our dynamic construction team as a Painter/Trim Out Crew member, where your skills will bring new spaces to life with vibrant colors and flawless finishes! In this energetic role, you’ll be responsible for applying paint, stain, and finishes to residential and commercial projects, as well as installing trim, moldings, fixtures, and other finishing touches that transform raw structures into polished masterpieces. Your expertise in surface preparation, color coordination, and detailed craftsmanship will drive the success of renovation and construction projects from start to finish. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paints, stains, sealants, and industrial coatings using brushes, rollers, airless spray equipment, and power tools with precision and efficiency
- Install trim carpentry including baseboards, crown molding, door casings, and other decorative or functional trim elements
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute painting plans and trim layouts for residential and commercial projects
- Perform fixture installation such as light fixtures, switches, outlets, and other hardware during the finishing process
- Conduct touch-ups and restoration work to ensure a flawless appearance on completed projects
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential or commercial painting with knowledge of construction estimating is highly desirable
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and airless paint spraying equipment safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of color theory to assist with color matching and design decisions
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately for precise application of finishes
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and protocols
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to paint coverage, material estimates, and project dimensions
- Experience in related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry), masonry (stucco), plastering or restoration is a plus
- Knowledge of industrial painting techniques including welding or concrete finishing is beneficial but not required
- Excellent hand-eye coordination with attention to detail in finishing work
- Valid driver’s license preferred; ability to travel between multiple job sites as needed
