Insurance Verification Specialist
The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for obtaining, reviewing, validating, and documenting proof of insurance information from agents, carriers, borrowers, and lenders. This position ensures insurance records are accurate, complete, and properly recorded within company systems in accordance with established procedures and quality control standards.
Responsibilities Include:
- Communicate with insurance agents, and carriers to obtain and verify insurance information
- Review insurance documents for accuracy, coverage details, policy terms, and completeness
- Research and resolve discrepancies or missing information
- Process multiple work queues while meeting established priorities and service standards
- Document communications, findings, and verified information in company systems
- Perform quality control checks and follow established procedures and workflows
- Respond to insurance verification requests and route documents to the appropriate files
- Escalate issues or incomplete documentation as needed
Required Skills:
- At least 6 months of experience in customer service, insurance support, verification, or call center operations
- Background or experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional phone and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and work queues
- Basic computer and data-entry skills
- Ability to learn new systems, processes, and procedures
- Ability to follow established guidelines while using good judgment to identify and escalate issues
Shift Options: Monday to Friday with flexible start times
