Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender / To-Go specialist to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving beverages at the bar and packaging to-go orders. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Manage to-go orders efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Operate Toast POS system to process cash transactions accurately and swiftly.
- Ensure all food handling and beverage preparation adhere to food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and offering personalized recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces throughout your shift.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of spirits, wines, beers, and ingredients; communicate needs for restocking.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods and special events like banquets or catering functions.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service practices by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender or in a food service role within the hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Toast POS system.
- Strong cocktail crafting skills with familiarity in beverage recipe development and mixology techniques.
- Experience working in casual dining settings or establishments preferred.
- Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, brewing processes, and craft beer options.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Background in food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Previous experience with banquet or catering services is a plus.
- Ability to process cash transactions accurately using retail math skills; basic math proficiency required for inventory counts and sales reconciliation.
