Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Provider to join our team. This role is essential in creating a safe, stimulating, and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to promoting their growth and development. This is a floating position meaning that you will fill in wherever needed (Monday-Friday 8am-1:00pm)
Duties
As a Childcare Provider, your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and engaging with children in various activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Assisting with daily routines such as meals, naps, and personal hygiene.
- Managing behavior through positive reinforcement and effective communication techniques.
- Providing diaper changes, and comforting as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
- Communicating regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Previous experience in babysitting or childcare settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development theories.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to effectively handle various situations.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Experience working in daycare settings or classrooms is a plus.
- A genuine love for children and the ability to educate them through play-based learning activities.
