Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Upsell menu items, including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments via POS systems like OpenTable
- Assist with food handling, preparation support, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in compliance with food safety standards
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, wine knowledge, or special dietary needs
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining exposure
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and sales transactions
- Culinary experience or food industry background is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and food safety protocols
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly and understanding sanitation standards in food handling
- Previous host/hostess or bussing experience is a plus but not required
