Responsibilities
- Feed and water kittens according to scheduled routines, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration
- Monitor kittens’ health and behavior, identifying signs of illness or distress promptly
- Clean and sanitize all kitten enclosures, bedding, toys, and feeding areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Assist with socialization activities to promote positive interactions
- Give any and all medications that maybe required (including oral & injectable medications)
- Caring for the kittens after their spay/neuter surgeries
Requirements
- Experience with pet sitting, pet grooming, or animal handling enhances your suitability for this role
- Knowledge of animal behavior and proper handling techniques for young animals is essential
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when moving supplies
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and visitors about kitten care needs
- Experience in kennel management or pet boarding environments is a plus
- Commitment to maintaining a clean environment through sanitization practices specific to pet care facilities
