Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optician/Optical Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting patients with their eyewear needs. This role requires a strong understanding of optical products, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Optician will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care and support throughout their experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their prescriptions and personal preferences.
- Measuring, processing and filing insurance for glasses orders.
- Conduct fittings and adjustments for eyeglasses to ensure proper fit and comfort.
- Provide education to patients about proper eyewear care and usage.
- Collaborate with optometrists to ensure seamless patient care.
- Stay updated on the latest optical trends, products, and technologies.
- Manage inventory of optical products and supplies, ensuring availability for patient needs.
- Support administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and processing orders.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Optician or in a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of optical products, lenses, and frames is essential.
- Experience in a patient care setting is a plus.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as eyefinity is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

- Business Hours are Monday-Friday from 9-6 and Saturday from 9-1
Supplemental Pay:
- Bonus/Commission opportunities
- Hourly pay is based on experience
