Belle Isle Animal Hospital is looking to add an additional veterinarian to our constantly growing PRIVATELY owned small animal practice just inside the Atlanta perimeter. We pride ourselves on practicing high quality medicine in a family atmosphere. We have a full surgical suite, digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental x-ray, laser therapy, and full in-house blood work capabilities. We have a high technician to doctor ratio. There is no after hours on call. We primarily see cats and dogs but are willing to see exotics if successful applicant is interested. Duties
- Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose health issues in small animals.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including surgical procedures, medical therapies, and preventive care.
- Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and procedures.
- Utilize veterinary terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and care instructions to clients.
- Apply aseptic techniques during surgeries, sample collection, and other invasive procedures to prevent infection.
- Manage laboratory testing procedures, analyze results, and interpret data to inform clinical decisions.
- Maintain detailed medical records adhering to veterinary standards while ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.
- Support pet owners with advice on pet care, nutrition, behavior, and post-treatment follow-up to foster ongoing health management.
Requirements
- Valid Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Georgia
Pay: $110,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
