Overview:
The Quality Manager will lead the Quality Engineering and Quality Inspection teams in our manufacturing facility. This position will focus heavily on the development of QA/QC documentation and team. Ensure compliance with company, customer, industry, and regulatory standards and requirements. The Quality Manager will lead a team of quality professionals, implement quality management systems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Role:
- Lead and manage the Quality Engineering and Quality Inspection teams - coaching, mentoring, and managing the performance of the team to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Build, maintain, and develop Taurus' quality management systems (QMS) in compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to certifications and other quality standards.
- Analyze quality data and implement corrective actions to address non-conformances.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
- Interface with internal and external suppliers to ensure needs are met, and expectations are satisfied.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans.
- Train and mentor quality team members on best practices and quality standards.
- Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics and performance indicators.
- Support new product development and introduction processes.
- Manage the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field or a minimum of 5+ years of experience in quality management within the ESP manufacturing industry, preferably at a mid-sized, high-mix, vertically integrated facility.
- Proven experience leading teams through business changes.
- Coaching, mentoring, and motivating teams to persevere through adversity.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and industry standards
- Internal auditor training and certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated history of ownership, accountability, and team building.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes, and the ability to teach these tools to direct and indirect reports.
Schedule: Full-time / Monday - Friday / 7:00am - 3:30pm
Salary: $120k-$145k / Weekly Pay Schedule (Direct Deposit)
