We are seeking a Medical Assistant. Great opportunity to work with a large healthcare organization that specializes in the care of patients with renal disease.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bilingual English and Spanish (preferred). Ability to translate between physician and patient.
- Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
- 2+ years of back office/Front office clinical experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care — room patients, obtain vitals, perform urine tests, administer injections, assist with anemia/iron management, refill prescriptions, and educate patients.
- Coordinate clinical testing and procedures — schedule and process 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, procedures, specimen collection, and courier transport.
- Document and communicate clinical information — interview patients, update EMR/medication lists, process dictation and reports, and notify physicians of abnormal findings or status changes.
- Manage scheduling, recalls, and patient follow-up — optimize provider schedules, handle recalls/no-shows, process hospital disposition reports, and follow up with patients and PCPs.
- Perform administrative, compliance, and operational support.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5pm, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS
Compensation:
- $19 to $24 per hour, depending on experience
