Overview
CMNTY Sports Academy is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and energetic After-School Academy Interns to help create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for students in Pre-K through 8th grade.
This is a great opportunity for high school students, college students, aspiring teachers, coaches, and individuals interested in education, child development, recreation, or youth leadership to gain valuable hands-on experience working with children.
As an Academy Intern, you will support Lead Instructors with daily activities, assist with student supervision, and help create positive experiences that encourage learning, confidence, communication, compassion, and teamwork. No prior professional experience is required—we provide training and mentorship to help you succeed.
Responsibilities
- Assist Lead Instructors with daily after-school programming.
- Help supervise students during homework time, enrichment activities, sports, games, and outdoor play.
- Encourage positive behavior and help create a welcoming, inclusive environment.
- Build positive relationships with students while serving as a positive role model.
- Assist with homework support and educational activities.
- Help prepare, organize, and clean up activity materials and learning spaces.
- Support student check-in, transitions, and dismissal procedures.
- Maintain a safe environment by following all CMNTY Sports Academy policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with fellow team members to provide an outstanding experience for every child.
Qualifications
- Must be passionate working with kids.
- High school student, college student, or recent graduate interested in education, coaching, recreation, child development, or a related field.
- Passion for working with children and making a positive impact.
- Positive attitude, dependable, and eager to learn.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to pass any required background screening.
